BREEAM is used to assess the environmental performance of new or existing buildings such as schools, and hospitals.

BREEAM have a set of regulations which apply to cycle shelters/compounds.

To meet Breeam regulations, new bike shelters/compounds must comply to certain criteria which takes into account various things including:

  • Protection from the rain
  • Correct installation of cycle shelter/compound
  • Distance between cycle racks
  • Cycle stand type
